Nelson Farmers Market "Dog Policy"

Our customer base has grown phenomenally over the last few years. They range in age from the very young to the very old. The aisles under our tents are only 8 feet wide and are very congested a good deal of the time. This diversity and congestion have led the board of directors to make a very difficult decision regarding dogs. In order to protect the health and safety of the very young who reach out and pet one without thinking to ask first, and the elderly whose balance may be questionable and may trip over a dog or the leash, dogs will no longer be allowed under the tents. They are welcome to come to the market, but they must remain outside the tents.
